The New Zealand Government announced on 11th May 2020 that it is safe to move to COVID-19 Alert Level 2 from 14th May 2020. ACMI will resume classes on campus from 18th May 2020. Health and Safety measures under COVID-19 Alert Level 2 will be in place for all students, staffs and visitors on campus. ACMI welcomes all students and staffs back on campus from 18th May 2020. These are the Health and safety measures to be followed on campusunder COVID-19 Alert Level 2 restrictions:

Aim & Outcome:

This training scheme is designed for domestic and international students with elementary English Language skills to improve and achieve the below essential communication skills:

Listen and speak:

Understand the main points and key supporting details in conversation during short talks and lectures and relate information and ideas with some coherence and keep a conversation going.

Read:

Read and understand a range of texts on familiar topics, scan, locate and gather information to fulfil a specific task.

Write:

Write comprehensible, connected texts on familiar topics with reasonable accuracy, using a range of text types.

Develop your vocabulary and grammar skills.

Entry Requirements for Applicants:

  • Must be 18 years of age and above.
  • Hold appropriate visa for study in New Zealand. Work visas, visitor visas or interim visas may study up to maximum of 12 weeks as per visa conditions
  • 22 teaching hours per week
  • Part time hours available
  • Monday to Thursday 9.00 am to 3.00 pm
  • Study from one week to 16 weeks (or longer)

Tuition Fees:

NZD 310 per week + NZD 10 Resource Fee + Enrollment Fees NZD 150 + Insurance for length of study (compulsory for all international students)
